About This Large Air Assault In Iraq Today...

According to ABC News:

The United States on Thursday launched what was termed the largest air assault since the U.S.-led invasion, targeting insurgent strongholds north of the capital, the military said.

Bigger than "Shock and Awe" I suppose since, well, we all know how that one went. But to include the leader of this story as linked on Raw Story:

As Bush drops to 33 percent in new poll (story), he will unveil a new national security strategy, focusing on "pre-emptive war."

What's Bush going to do now that his approval is sinking fast and support is waning? Bomb the fuck out of the place, count the dead, label them all "desperate" terrorists, call it a day, wipe his hands, declare victory, and then expect his approval to go back up through the roof?

Think Americans will treat this like the Iraqi's were supposed to? With flowers and candy and frolicking in the streets?
